In the recent past, people have managed to produce systems that are able to think and complete a wide range of roles. Although AI is a great technology that allows human beings to complete risk and complex functions within a short time and promote economic development, this paper explains why there is a need for societies to strike a balance between their unique abilities and the potential challenges associated with it.
Allowing AI to Control Human Life: Arguments
All forms of human civilization are attributable to the application of emerging knowledge and ideas. Shabbir and Anwer indicate that the main purpose of AI is to revolutionize computer functions and allowing them to complete sophisticated responsibilities, such as problem-solving, learning, and reasoning (3). Using superior programming, mathematics, and computer science, AI makes it possible for machines to replicate most of the human cognitive abilities. Consequently, people can allow AI to support error reduction whenever undertaking different multifarious activities, such as space exploration and undersea investigations.
The application of AI is necessary since it makes it possible for people to pursue difficult assignments or functions. Machine learning makes it possible for human beings to create robots that can enhance mining operations and discovery missions. They can also complete demanding tasks in unforgiving environments, such as war zones (Scherer 361). This is something possible since machines guided by AI will not get fatigued or break down. During natural disasters and war times, human beings can rely on the power of AI to evacuate victims, deliver food supplies, and detonate bombs.
Since the global economy has become technology-based, it is a reality that people cannot perform most of their duties efficiently without utilizing AI. For example, human beings currently use smartphones and handheld devices that are supported by this kind of innovation (Shabbir and Anwer 7). Financial institutions have acquired such technologies because they are capable of detecting any form of fraud while at the same time delivering high-quality and timely services to the targeted customers. This means that countries can embrace the applications and uses of AI to achieve their objectives much faster.
The emergence of chronic medical conditions is another reason that compels human beings to allow the use of AI in their daily lives. To a greater extent, physicians and medical practitioners can acquire and implement these systems to assess specific conditions, monitor side effects of such medicines, and perform surgeries. Scherer indicates that AI can empower professionals in this field to detect neurological disorders and treat them effectively (376). Robotics has become critical in empowering doctors to perform radiosurgery with pinpoint accuracy without having to damage other organs or tissues.
Human beings can benefit significantly from AI when focusing on monotonous or repetitive tasks. Since machines do not get tired, they can think faster for prolonged periods without changing their speeds or outputs (Poola 97). Since they lack emotions, it can be possible for them to perform complex tasks, thereby making it possible for human beings to achieve their potential.

Although the above examples explain how humans can use AI to perform a wide range of tasks, it is necessary for stakeholders to control and manage the replication of human intelligence. This practice is capable of reducing the ethical challenges associated with it.
The absence of strict guidelines can encourage some people to develop systems and robotics that are capable of harming others. This is a possible outcome since such technological devices function depending on the inputs presented to them. Poola goes further to propose evidence-based strategies for ensuring that human beings are always in control of AI (98). This evidence-based strategy will minimize most of the dangers associated with modern intelligence systems.
Increased investment costs for AI and unemployment are critical predicaments that explain why there is a need for human beings to control the acquisition and use of AI in different settings and scenarios. The proliferation of AI means that more people will lose their jobs and be unable to pursue their personal goals. Additionally, the level of human creativity might decrease significantly if societies allow AI to take over (Scherer 392). Another reason why countries require effective policies and laws to guide the use of AI is that any advanced technology or machinery in the hands of wrong persons is a threat to human civilization.
Conclusion
The above discussion has argued that communities should permit AI to control human life to some extent because it is capable of driving economic performance and minimizing most of the challenges they face today. Societies can also control or discontinue any type of AI that might result in unintentional harm. In conclusion, people should use and apply AI in ways that remain beneficial and sustainable.
