The two presidential candidates stand as peculiar individuals in the history of the United State of America. Mr. Barack Obama-tracing his root in Africa- is out to be the first Black American to become the president of America while Hillary Clinton is out to be the first female president in the history of America.

The question many people ask themselves is, why has it taken this long to change the history of this great renowned state in the world? Several factors come to play. The world today appreciates the process of evolution of democratic governance and recognition of individual rights and freedom (Bartlett Bruce., 52).

Definition of world

Initially, the world was defined by civil wars and cultural considerations. Ladies were termed as weak and vulnerable persons hence they could not compete at the same level as men, for instance, Hitler in Germany, who believed in the use of force as a system of leadership. Originality politics, based on culture and common historical background also determined the person who was to be entrusted with the power to control the country.

These factors combined with racial discrimination could not allow the likes of Obama and Hillary to run for national leadership in the United State of America. With the institutionalization of democratic structures and increased globalization in the world now equality and equity count in many systems of governments. This, therefore, has made it possible for Obama and Hillary to contest for the presidency in America.

Mr. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton

Mr. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have in the recent past shown a neck to neck kind of race in the presidential nomination battle. Obama enjoys the mass support of the men, young generation, and black Americans. To his supporters, Barack represents a generational change and racial liberation in the United State of America. This, therefore, enables him to garner more support from the voters to continue sustaining his candidature.

Mrs. Clinton on the other hand prides herself on the outstanding support of the older generation, women, and the white race in the region. Together with her supporters, they are holding the monster of gender discrimination on the ground and to the world that even ladies do exhibit the unquestionable in-built-locked potential to offer leadership at the high center of power in the nation.

Both of them are applauded for their representative well-articulated policies that take the interest of the common man at hand. Unlike the Republicans, who advocate for the status quo in the medical sector, they hope to initiate reforms to make medical services such as insurance and access to drugs available and affordable to all particularly to the middle class (Held David. 97).

The supporter’s preference is open within the Democratic Party between the two contenders. Some believe in the leadership of Hillary is based on her unique broad experience in governance being the wife to the former president of the United State of America.

In contrast, Obama’s supporters don’t appreciate Hillary’s experience but rather view her as a strategy for the old to stay in power. To them, Barack Obama is the true representation of an image of change they want. And their slogan goes, “Vote real change.”

Democracy is a symbol of people’s will therefore as much as the two continue to battle it out, it is clear and open that the majority will sing the day’s song of victory.
