Problem statement
The state of the environment continues to depreciate due to the introduction of social causes that have changed the dynamics of the ecosystem. Majority of the housing projects present to date focus on the use of concrete and wood. These materials are not conducive for the changing environment experienced in the urban ecosystem. One of the key issues that all societies face as a result of the changing environments is the hot and humid regions.
Hot and humid region pose a threat to the growth and sustainability of all living creatures in the future. An enormous number of people are beginning to recognize the significance of going green so as to eradicate this issue. The suggested concepts being adopted are: the use of green roofs and green façade. Both ideas are possible solutions for solving the global issues faced by the environment. Implementation is however difficult due to the immense amount of investment required for the entire globe to recognize the advantages that they relay.
Objective
The objective of this report is to review the various forms of green building. This is ideal for the proper understanding and adaptation of the new methods to urban housing. The research aims to find more manageable ways in terms of expenses, implementation and creating awareness across the globe. Creating awareness will ensure involvement from members of the communities as a whole. This will in turn, eradicate the use of unconventional building materials and the adaptation of more eco friendly building concepts.

The paper covers the various kinds of green designs and their significance to the adaptation of the new environment. Another essential aspect discussed in the paper is the roofing system which is a key element in the observation of moist environment. The paper then looks at a number of aspects that are required in order to ensure the implementation of successful green buildings and infrastructure.
Methodology
Green building is quickly becoming the latest trend in art and architecture. This is credited to the change in the climatic conditions all over the world. Despite the concept being dubbed as the way forward in the sustainability of the housing sector and the living conditions, green roofing and façade’s derive their roots from the ancient form of architecture.
