Global warming is no more a matter of debate as people agree that environmental changes do take place. However, a large proportion of scientists believe that the change is anthropomorphic while others disagree claiming that similar processes occurred several times throughout the history of the Earth (Goudie 267). In my opinion, humans did not cause global warming as the impact is not crucial, but people speeded the processes that lead to a dramatic environmental change.

I believe that the use of resources, greenhouse gas emissions and uncontrolled destruction of trees are instrumental in facilitating temperature rise. Human activity has a significant effect on the development of the planet. Nevertheless, the Earth witnessed other global warmings that had taken place much earlier than the first humans learned how to set a fire. The planet as any other object in the universe is evolving, which is associated with major transformations. In some cases, these alterations may have a detrimental impact on some species (for example, dinosaurs) and can be favorable for others (for instance, mammals).
The causes of these major shifts in the development of the planet are still associated with heated debate, but I think the role of humans is overestimated. At the same time, people can try to reverse the impact they made and slow down the process of change by being more sustainable. It is each individual’s, every organizations’, and all countries’ responsibility to make global warming less dramatic to develop effective strategies that could help humanity survive.
