It is evident that Los Angeles offers unique recreational facilities and opportunities for everyone to enjoy. Many people living in Los Angeles came from other countries. Cultural diversity in Los Angeles makes it a ”seventh haven” (Yoon 221). Residents can enjoy a wide variety of cuisines from different communities, as well as dressing, languages, and beliefs. Over and above, Los Angeles City ranks highly in terms of fashion and Information Technology.
Residents welcome new and innovative attributes of life without bias. Los Angeles offers lots of entertainment opportunities, which include sports and movies. This plays a significant role in enhancing unity and harmony among people living in this city, irrespective of their socio-economic and political differences. Finally, Los Angeles provides a significant foundation for learning, and students have the opportunity of acquiring distinctive international education (Yoon 224).
Bad About Los Angeles
Los Angeles City has a bad history, regardless of the term “Angeles” known to originate from “Angels”. Many people associate Los Angeles with evil experience whereas others consider this city a place of despondency and loss. For example, it is evident that Los Angeles has a number of gangs and groups living in the neighborhood (Yoon 225). The rate of crime in Los Angeles is on the rise, with meager efforts to control the pervasiveness. In this regard, residents make sure that they are constantly alert and aware of what takes place in the neighborhood. Many people in Los Angeles become victims of burglary and robbery in their neighborhoods.
Drug peddling and criminal activities are common in Los Angeles (Yoon 227). Taking a walk down the street, you can bump into a group of smoking people and drug abusers. It is evident that drugs are illegal in America. Many people began abusing drugs for the reason that they live in poverty and they don’t have work (Yoon 228). Given that a significant number of children and adolescents end up in drug groups, it is difficult to raise children in Los Angeles. These circumstances leave parents no option but to move to other cities where children can grow and learn without the interference of gangs and groups of immoral people.
The drivers of the demand for housing in the city of Los Angeles
Los Angeles is one of the leading real estate markets in America (Huber, Messick & Pivar 34). There was a huge demand for houses and apartments since the year 2012 in this city. This gave rise to growth in prices and agent housing costs. However, demand is still evident. In the year 2012, the increase in the prices for homes in Los Angeles and previously reduced mortgage prices attracted prospective buyers from different parts of the country and beyond (Huber et al. 37). International and local buyers competed with foreign investors and organizations in acquiring homes during this time. The rising demand and reduced inventories led to insistent bidding conflicts that led to an increase in the sale costs. This is by approximately 25% between August 2012 and August 2013 (Huber et al. 38).
In addition to the development of real estate in Los Angeles, there was an increase in the development of technology firms that covered various parts of the city (Huber et al. 38). Firms such as Facebook and Google have branches in Los Angeles. An increase in demand for homes is significant in this city. This is on the subject of this development. Silicon Beach leads to a huge demand for homes in Los Angeles. Homeowners are selling their homes for great prices.
Agents establish that the demand for homes in Los Angeles reduced from August 2012. This happened due to the fact buyers suffered exhaustion as a result of the extreme demand for housing. It is apparent that many individuals who commit crimes in Los Angeles abuse drugs. Majority are drug addicts or drug peddlers. These are groups of people who spend most of their time planning and executing robbery or burglary. These are the significant problems that make life of many people in Los Angeles unbearable.
Solutions to the problems
In order to come up with a significant solution to the noted issues in Los Angeles, it is imperative to consider amicable options. The subject of lack of homes must be managed by the provision of employment to the homeless groups of people. This will help them make sufficient income to pay for their houses. It is evident that providing employment to the homeless will enable them to manage their life better, as well acquire better clothing, food and enough money to pay for utility bills. The government also needs to build more houses that favor the middle level and low level earning groups of people living in Los Angeles. This will help them have enough money to pay for the bills and live comfortably.

In conclusion, crime and drug abuse are manageable by the introduction of community outreach programs that emphasize on the effects of drugs and crime. Youths and the entire gangs can be absorbed in the employment industry. This will entail making use of their untapped skills and further alleviating idleness. This necessitates for creating business centers and developing institutions that bring about a chain of production where people can seek employment. It is also clear that introduction of rehabilitation facilities that will cater for the drug addicts, is essential. This will help them learn how to stop taking or peddling drugs. These rehabilitation centers will help the drug addicts deal with withdrawal syndrome.
