Artificial intelligence technology has taken over several activities previously done by human beings. The adoption, of this human intelligent machine has enabled the municipal administration in America to perform its functions effectively. Several technologies like the gun shot detectors, smart energy, integrated security cameras and the chat box, has eased the hectic municipal administrative process. These technologies in the near future, if well advanced, could have a greater positive impact on the government, as effective and fast services will be offered.

Artificial intelligence is the development of computer systems such as robots controlled by computers to perform tasks mostly carried out by human beings. This development involves specific programs and commands instilled into computers to enable them to perform tasks on their own. Artificial intelligence often applies the knowledge of human intelligence in the execution of specific tasks and commands (Young et al., 2019). The simulation of human intelligence by using machines has simplified human activities, therefore bringing into time a new error or computer advancement. Artificial intelligence continues to evolve hence taking part in human activities. Some examples of artificial intelligence are manufacturing robots, self-driving cars, smart assistance, disease mapping, and social media monitoring. In America, artificial intelligence has taken age in most government activities, such as the use of universal surveillance, gunshot detectors, and forensic analysis in the law enforcement sector. The paper assesses the impact artificial intelligence has posed on future governance and public administration at the municipal level of governance in America.

The application of artificial intelligence in America had vast impacts on the lives of the American citizens in the enhancement of the governance citizen interactions. A. I technologies such as the invention use virtual assistance and chatbots to simplify governance at the municipal level (He, 2018). As the government can easily adders the citizen’s issues without physical interaction. Furthermore, the government has been able to assess its activities and misdo governance administration to the citizens. Again, the policy-making process.

At the municipal level, the American government has adopted the A. I technology to enhance the effective functioning of the municipal activities due to the increasing urban population that cannot be physically managed. In the current days, the American government has adopted artificial intelligence technologies such as smart energy metering, IoT-enabled park benches, improved commercial chatbots, computer vision and packing systems, traffic control, and air pollution. Major municipals in America have the issue of increased crime, which somehow cannot be completely monitored by municipal law enforcement; therefore, the application of A.I sound detectors as made it easy for patrol police officers to detect crime scenes and respond quickly to them easily.

In the regulation of crime in the A.I is proving to be of worth. In the near future, the American government will advance the current gunshot detectors into sophisticated programs that can detect gunshots and record specific conversations, analyze them, and obtain suspicious words that might lead to the crime being undertaken. The A.I development shortly will be advanced in that when a crime is detected, and the intelligence could search for the nearest dispatch police and direct the officer to the estimated crime scene. This could make the administration of justice easy as offenders or suspects could be put to bale.

The application of smart energy metering in the municipals has shown a positive advantage in the municipal administration. The smart energy system represents an approach in which energies such as smart electricity, thermal and gas grids are combined and coordinated to identify their synergies to obtain a solution for each sector (Şerban, 2020). In this case, the future of using electric energy supplied though transformer is ended. The smart energy application in the future would help match the energy supply to the demand in the municipals and enable the integration of more renewable energy sources such as solar systems, which are munch eco friendly.

Artificial intelligence could help completely reduce air pollution in the municipals. A.I technologies such as the optical particle counter provides a good future for the municipals by helping the detection of air pollutants and obtaining their sources, after which the intelligence would send signals to the municipal administration (Zuiderwijk, 2021). Due to the large population of most urban centers in America., the need to keep both air and sound pollution at bay is quite essential. A.I technology, in this case, could also prove to be useful in the future as the air pollution detectors could be used to used conduct some illegal elements like drugs—furthermore, the A.I technology could be helpful in the prediction of the ozone layer putting aside the hectic procedure calculation use in obtaining the same information.

The integrated security cameras could simplify the municipal administration by enabling easy monitoring of activities. The system which applies facial recognition technology has made crime monitoring and the apprehension of crime quite easy. The system also helps mark wanted people, wanted cars, or even the location of lost persons in the municipals. The system shortly would prove much helpful in the conduction of census in the municipal and obtaining the rate at which the human activities traffic the municipal. The system could also be used to detect new persons in the municipals. This could enhance proper administration and planning by the municipal government.

The use of commercial chatbots, which has enabled the municipal administration to have a fair chat with the citizens, has enabled transparency and provided the government with the necessary tools and skills required to run the municipal. The chat boards also enable the municipal government to identify its failures through people’s comments. Implementing this A.I. technology will advance the municipal governance capability in the future due to the rising number of urban dwellers who cannot be all attended to by the government. The technology and its advancement could create a beneficial platform for statistical data collection in urban centers. The municipal government could also supply this technology to provide education to the municipal dwellers over any rising crisis. The technology if well implemented, could help provide fairness of service to the municipal dwellers.

The IoT-enabled park benches, through sensor technology, would easily enable statistical and data collection on municipal activities such as web usage and recreational activities. The A.I. technology, in this case, would enable the municipal government to provide proper urban planning and administration. A.I. technology, in the near future, could be applied in the collection of taxes, including the parking fee. Even though the technology does not provide a formal identity of the personal data collected, the technology, if well advanced, could enable the municipal government to detect damages in public municipal areas hence faster response easily. A.I. technology has proven useful in the American municipal administration, and its advancement in the near future could ease the administration process. The need to obtain the municipal statistical data for effective municipal management gas attracted the use of A.I. artificial intelligence therefore forms the basic for the management of the municipals.
