Four-year-old Layla suffers from a rash every time she eats many strawberries and oranges. This phenomenon is allergic and is often called food hives. Layla probably lacks ascorbic acid and retinol to balance her diet. The allergic reaction occurs because the immunity perceives one of the nutrients that have entered the body as a pathogen. To neutralize it, antibodies are released into the bloodstream, commonly called immunoglobulins E. When cells join the basophils, the histamine is instantly released. It is histamine that provokes skin rashes and other allergic reactions. Vitamin A deficiency causes pathological changes in the skin, its derivatives, and mucous membranes and also impairs vision. Severe forms of vitamin C deficiency are fraught with diabetes mellitus, scurvy, vascular atherosclerosis, or secretory enzyme lack of the digestive system. Ruby can supplement vitamin A levels by preparing vegetables, especially carrots (Marotz 327). According to Marotz, vitamin C can be extracted from papaya, broccoli, or sweet pepper (328). Nevertheless, it is essential to prevent excess vitamins A and C, as this can lead to liver dysfunction and metabolic disorders.

Lactose intolerance is not an allergy – however, it happens due to metabolic peculiarities. People with hypolactasia are thought to lack the necessary level of enzymes. Milk is rich in calcium, so the lack of dairy products in a child’s diet negatively affects the balance of metal. According to Smith, a three-year-old Ailani needs 700 mg of calcium daily. This amount can be obtained from salmon, broccoli, and tofu. It is essential to correctly calculate the balance of each component when eating so as not to overdose on the element.

The lack of milk in the diet of four-year-old Carlos can hurt the balance of calcium, lactose, and casein. In the absence of the described nutrients in humans, especially at an early age, a dense bone structure may not fully develop. In general, several studies have shown that the child can get over the milk rejection, but it is essential to balance micro and macro elements (Patton 15). Ruby can prepare fish, curd products, and sweet yogurt for Carlos.

Mariko is a typical vegetarian who consumes many carbohydrates and has given up animal proteins. The abundance of soy sauce can hurt the salt balance, leading to kidney problems. The rejection of meat and fish (as well as several vegetable species) threatens Mariko’s lack of essential amino acids. Without them, the most important structures of the girl’s body will not be complete. Moreover, some studies show that abandonment of meat can lead to anemia (Kasireddy). Ruby can help her balance with beans, nuts, and fruits.

Sophia consumes too many fatty acid foods, especially if bacon is cooked with much butter. In addition, the girl’s diet is oversaturated with carbohydrates. Typically, these molecules perform critical functions such as energy metabolism and hormone synthesis. However, excess sugars hurt human health: this can lead to dental problems and obesity. The main reason for this is a sharp increase in blood glucose levels, which occurs with a large single meal rich in carbohydrates. It is essential that in addition to carbohydrates, Sofia gets the right amount of proteins, fats, and vitamins. Ruby should worry about this, as such a diet is sure to hurt the child’s well-being, especially in adolescence. For better nutrition, Ruby can teach a girl to take proteins, fats, and vitamins in the game form. For example, for each apple eaten instead of cookies, Sophia receives a reward.
