Introduction
Attending regular health checks is a critical medical provision. Nonetheless, it is evident that men hardly realise the virtues of taking such initiatives. There is a need for a constructive plan that will establish, ratify, and help men embrace regular medical checks. This section of the assignment will discern the media intervention in sensitising and mobilising men to embrace the recommended customary medical checks (Valente, 2002). This will incorporate media plan, media relationships, media release, Permissions Forms, and materials required for the success of this project. This project endeavours to promote healthy eating habits and regular medical checks amidst men. This is a critical initiative when considered comprehensively.
Media Plan
It is important to develop a proper media plan that suits the entire project. In order to facilitate this project and realise its success, the media will be incorporated. The concerned media will help in spreading the ‘word’ (the need for regular medical checks amongst men) through numerous ways (Butler, 1994). This indicates what the media and project organisers can do to support this project. The media will develop community service programs helpful in promoting the values of regular medical checks. This will enable men to take the required initiative. Additionally, through media, it will be possible to develop supportive advertisements or messages and establish viable programs in regard to regular medical checks. These will be based on the key messages incorporated in the project (Nnakwe, 2009).
The media will know about this project through numerous means. The project developer will meet with them to discuss more about the project and why it should be advertised. This will also be possible through credible partnerships among the concerned stakeholders (Issel, 2009). Concurrently, sending them some background information and then calling them to talk about the project will be appropriate. Precisely, it will be advisable to send them a media release. The media people that will be contacted include Maurice Carta, Jane Miriana, and Collins McGriffins of ABC Radio, Citizen Broadcasting, and Healthy People Television respectively. Their contacts include +144345876, +144988765, and +144521667 respectively. These personalities will be contacted a week after the implementation of the project (Moyer & Diem, 2004).
Media Relationships
It is vital to keep track of which media outlets have been contacted, and who will follow them up (Kerzner, 2003). One of the media tasks that will be considered promptly incorporates the sensitisation of the public, especially men on the concerned regular health checks. Its responsibility will include regular advertisements on the matter. This is a critical provision in the context of media relationships. As indicated earlier, the media outlets and contact persons for this duty include Maurice Carta, Jane Miriana, and Collins McGriffins of ABC Radio, Citizen Broadcasting, and Healthy People Television respectively. The contact date for this task will be on 10/11/2012 while the follow up date will be on 22/11/2012. This will ensure that all programs are on track and the public receives the concerned information promptly and appropriately (McDowall, Bonnell & Davies, 2006). Another considerable task in this context is the mobilisation of funds from the willing donors. It is evident that this project will demand considerable funding so as to realise its success. This provision is possible through the media. For that matter, the media will serve various purposes in regard to this project.

Men’s Regular Medical Checks
Healthy People Solutions Inc. will hold regular medical checks especially for men. John McCarthy, the chief organiser of this event, claims that regular medical checks are important for healthy living. He adds that people should prioritise their health needs. Regular health checks help men to get active, select foods they eat, exercise regularly, and lose weight. “We want the event to be enjoyable and positive. Concurrently, if men want to be healthy and live longer, they should attend regular medical checks”, John added.
People interested in joining the initiative should contact Christiano Velma (+144208365) for more information. The program will start from 20/10/2012 to 26/10/2012 (9 am to 3 pm) daily. The program requires interested parties to register with the concerned authorities. “Men should understand that unhealthy eating habits and irregular medical checks are dangerous to their health”, said Phillips Robertson, a registered member. This project seeks to attain full commitment from men and sensitise them about the importance of regular health checks amongst other medical provisions (McDowall, Bonnell & Davies, 2006). Interested parties should contact Christiano Velma (+144208365) for more information.
Permission Form
It is important to get permission from the concerned stakeholders so as to facilitate the mandates of this project. ‘Permission Form’ will serve this purpose. Its provisions and contents are structured in a manner that will facilitate credibility and authentication of the project (Bartholomew, Parcel & Kok et al., 2011). Applicants will have to write their names, addresses, phone numbers, and swear their consent on the matter. Photographs will be important for authentication and validation of the concerned application. Upon signing the document, one will be assumed to have understood the entire contents of the form (Zwikel &Smyrk, 2011). Witnesses are required to validate the entire application. It will be important for the interested stakeholders to understand the significance of signing up and providing valid personal information. Precisely, the Permission Form helps in creating a consent provision that participants in the project should sign before the event organisers takes photos of them or film them.
Materials
As part of the project activities, it is important to produce some materials helpful in sensitising various categories of the targeted groups. The materials required in this project include posters and billboards. They will target men aged 16 and above. This group is required to attend regular medical checks so as to enhance their wellbeing (Healey, 2009). Elders, young men, and the local media form other targeted groups that the concerned materials will consider. These groups are expected to know more about the significance of regular medical checks among other relevant health provisions. The content of the posters used will highlight on the mentioned health provisions. Posters (materials) will be distributed in the public places including hospitals, shopping centres, and public forums. Additionally, it will be important to reach the media for mass publicity of the organised event (Green & Tones, 2010). Concurrently, the timelines for development of posters and billboards will have to coincide with event’s timeline.
Conclusion
The significance of regular health checks are numerous. It is important to establish, ratify, and embrace credible plans for the development of this project. This will enable men to realise the need to attend regular health checks as indicated earlier. The aspects of media plan, media relationships, media releases, Permissions Forms, and materials required for the success of these operations are critical. They endeavour to discern healthy eating habits and regular medical checks, particularly in men.
