Winner Announcement: $1,500 Semi-Annual Video Contest Scholarship for Students

The time has finally come for our Video Contest Scholarship to end. After receiving your submissions, evaluating your videos, and gathering and counting the votes, we’re ready to announce the winners.

But first, we want to express our gratitude to each and every participant of this contest. Thank you all so much for your contributions! You delivered great ideas and proved to be exceptionally creative. However, there’s only two of you who got the most votes for your submissions.

The winner of the $1,000 scholarship is Yerchang Chongvue with the video called ‘A Student’s Voice from Laos’. This work received 606 votes, which was enough to make its creator our contest winner.

The runner-up prize of $500 goes to Alice Martino with the video ‘How to Deal with Culture Shock: 5 Tips’. This entry got 516 votes—quite an impressive result.

Congratulations to our winners!

To everyone else, don’t feel discouraged. You’ll have another chance to win our future contests, so stay tuned.

To sum up, we received a total of 51 works, which generated 2950 votes. These figures just prove that you guys have plenty of awesome ideas. And it’s great that you’re so excited to share them.

Sadly, the contest didn’t run as smoothly as we wanted it to. There were several cheating attempts, which, fortunately, were spotted on time and successfully prevented. Cheaters were disqualified. We always keep an eye on any attempts to break the rules, and we do our best to prevent dishonesty—not only in our contests, but when providing our services too.

Once again, thank you to everyone who entered our $1,500 Semi-Annual Video Contest Scholarship for Students, and congrats to our winners!

Make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel and check our blog for updates. We’ll have more contests coming in the near future!

Alice Martino

I won second place in the video contest with the youtube video “5 tips to deal with culture shock” and I really recommend people to participate in this scholarship! it was fun to come up with an idea close to my own experience as an international student that at the same time could help other people in the same situation! It’s also interesting to see the other participants’ work, they were all really good!
