The Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. It is located in Egypt and offers a fascinating tourist attraction site that is open to the public. First, the outdoor features of the pyramid are the most fascinating features. It was built using numerous large stones, which arranged to make a triangular pyramid with 4 faces.
Each of these stones is extremely large, weighing at least two tons. It is estimated that the whole structure was made with more than 2 million blocks of this kind. The height of the structure is estimated at 146.6 meters while the width is about 755 feet. The sides of the structure are oriented to form four cardinal points of a pyramid.
The four sides or faces are aligned at an angle of 510. It is also worth noting that the stones are limestone blocks cut to develop relatively smooth surfaces. The yellowish color of the limestone gives the blocks and the entire structure its color. Outside the structure, large stones spread all over. In the ancient world, the structure was used as a burial site and mortuary for the king. However, currently, a major tourist destination brings millions of dollars to the government of Egypt. Anybody is free to visit the site.
