The Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. It is located in Egypt and offers a fascinating tourist attraction site that is open to the public. It is named ‘The Great Pyramid’ due to its large size compared to the other pyramids in the region. Historically, it is the burial place for Pharaoh Khufu, an ancient Egyptian king and one of the most powerful rulers of ancient Egypt. In Greek mythology, Khufu is known as Cheops.

It is worth analyzing the place according to its appearance to the eyes of the millions of viewers who visit the place every year. First, the outdoor features of the pyramid are the most fascinating features. It was built using numerous large stones, which arranged to make a triangular pyramid with 4 faces.

Each of these stones is extremely large, weighing at least two tons. It is estimated that the whole structure was made with more than 2 million blocks of this kind. The height of the structure is estimated at 146.6 meters while the width is about 755 feet. The sides of the structure are oriented to form four cardinal points of a pyramid.

The four sides or faces are aligned at an angle of 510. It is also worth noting that the stones are limestone blocks cut to develop relatively smooth surfaces. The yellowish color of the limestone gives the blocks and the entire structure its color. Outside the structure, large stones spread all over. In fact, the structure, together with other pyramids and their Sphinxes, were built in the desert as mortuary and burial sites.

Inside the object, there are numerous passages. Among the open places is the burial chamber for the king, which is built of huge blocks of stones, specifically granite. The passages lead from the entrance, which is located on the northern face of the structure. The entrance is about 18 meters above the ground.

From here, a sloping corridor leads down to the inner parts of the structure by penetrating the rocky gravel on which the entire pyramid is positioned. It ends in an underground chamber, which appears to be unfinished. From here, a long narrow passage leads to the king’s burial chamber. Above this, huge slabs separate five compartments of granite.

In the ancient world, the structure was used as a burial site and mortuary for the king. However, currently, a major tourist destination brings millions of dollars to the government of Egypt. Anybody is free to visit the site.

The relationship between the features of the structure is relatively static. In fact, it has stood there for more than 3,000 years. Signs of decoration are missing. However, granite and limestone materials were used to provide aesthetic value. The stones can be arranged in any manner because they just need to lie on and beside each other.

For example, they can be arranged to form a flat or block mountain instead of a pyramid. However, the Egyptians chose the pyramid format. Within the vicinity, a few other pyramids and Sphinxes are observable. The relationship between them is simple. The pyramids increase in height and size because they signify the competition between one king and the successors. Also, the Sphinx represents the might of the king’s soul.

In conclusion, the great pyramid of Giza is an example of a folk life- where stories of Egyptian kings, the ancient people, and their technologies are portrayed.
