Introduction
Education, the framework of presentation, and the teachers are all key parts in presenting the knowledge to students. It is instrumental that learning opportunities are within the reach of people and the information is made clear and available to those who want to acquire knowledge.
The field of history-social science relates to society, economics, and politics. History is the knowledge that humans collectively possess and can use to their own advantage. Unfortunately, people seem to ignore the past and strive to reach the future in the fastest way, forgetting the learned lessons and attention to detail.
The curriculum sets out specific targets in the learning process. Also, it will unite the social factors and the historical context by presenting arts, sciences, and culture studies. The presentation is another significant feature and it becomes significant to people learning the information and retaining it for future use.

The human brain and language, as well as the ability to write, have given a unique chance to record a lot of things that take place. History is important in understanding humanity and the development of civilizations, as it is possible to trace the evolution of human thought and understanding. It is also interesting to compare ancient times to the way life is today. From ancient texts, it can be seen that the economy was much different and people’s thoughts and actions had different standards.
There are many things that shape history and human understanding, biology and economics are only a few of many. Social sciences are laid out through historical teachings, offering techniques that can be used by the younger population. The geographical location of a certain nation, the culture, and religion, as well as specific historical events, will connect the information between historical periods which will increase retention and access to the information. The environment greatly determines the way people lead their lives and what they can offer to each other. Some nations are secluded and their history is not as specific.
An important role is played by the accumulation of information and how it is used in the curriculum. The differences between people, their backgrounds and cultures, present a challenge but are addressed through the history-social science curriculum. Historically, people have always been looking for better conditions of living and a greater ability to rule the land and be able to control the masses. It is interesting to see the connection of world history to the physical and geographical conditions of the land.

The sense of purpose, as well as comfort that people will be supported and helped by the order, has been a part of any country. History has been very much formed by people’s social beliefs and political views. All nations in the world have some sort of governance they depend on.
Great nations and people that represent the society also contribute to the way history is recorded and understood. The nation forms a certain reputation and understanding of reality. A powerful and wealthy nation will be able to have more say in global matters and have an influence on other countries (Zinn 30). This will lead to an ability to control resources and matters in other places in the world. The history that is recorded is being affected by the nation’s power when historians portray a certain time period. The curriculum will provide a structure that will present the perspectives and unique views of the past and present times.
History has shown that there are many branches of sciences that completely turn around the understanding of the world. Before, people thought that Earth rested on elephants or turtles, and then it was thought that it was flat or the center of the universe. Modern people, reading this history, think it is ridiculous and cannot even imagine and contemplate how people could think this way. It is somewhat possible to predict what the future will bring but the amount of possibilities is endless, so what will happen specifically, is unknown. The preparation, teaching, and methods that teachers use are extremely significant.
The goals of the curriculum take a direct approach to teach people of different cultures, civil values, and the role that people play in society (“History-Social Science Framework for California Public Schools” 10). It is important to know history because people must learn from past mistakes so that the future does not bring the same horrific scenes from history books. One of the major setbacks is that there were cases in the past when history books were re-written by a dominant nation or power. This was done to show certain countries or people in a better light and hide secrets that would bring an unwanted reputation.
Often, people who record history and events, add something from themselves, to make it more appealing to future generations or to hide the faults of their time. It is important that everyone leads their own historical accounts of events so that they can rely on their own development and the connection to their relatives and communities. The curriculum is an interchange between the student and the course, providing a learning experience where events from the past are discussed and analyzed, so that truth can be established and issues figured out. The study of history entails an important concept that is meant to educate on how people behave and what rules their conscious and unconscious minds tend to adhere to.
History is very much tied with sociology and psychology, as well as philosophy, as it describes the individual and the influences that one person was able to spread around them and their own beliefs. History always revolves around a person and so, the understanding of human wants, needs, and desires is key to understating history and events that take place. It is very difficult to be impartial in teaching history, as every nation has a want to display itself in a better light.

Even though there are many examples of the wrongs that people did in the past, the present-day events show that people have not learned from their mistakes. People still raise arms against each other in the fight for land and resources. The different types of knowledge are thus needed to grasp the whole picture. The history-social course will unite many branches of study into one, displaying the intricate relationship between many aspects of social life and the movement of civilization.
Historical information is crucial to understanding people and the way it is presented is how knowledge will be taken in and kept. Cultures, geography, economics, and politics are all parts of the way history is taught and the curriculum will be most specific to each area, making sure that people understand the international perspective and the functioning of the world systems. The order that exists in a civilized society is the moving force of progress that creates a link between a person, society, and nation. The curriculum will teach the reality of people which is determined by how they see themselves and others around.
It is now widely understood that there are many nations, each has its own unique and rich history that is full of examples of cultural separations and violent conflicts. History should teach people that these differences and separations will always exist and it is up to the individuals to decide the way they are dealt with. The recollection of past events is the tool that will allow creating a better future but it is important to not forget that some things might be skewed (Daniels 22). Everyone who studies history, especially in the social context, tries to understand humanity and the self a little more and so, every person must use their own clear judgment and logic in getting to know the past and predicting the future.

The curriculum of studying history through social facts is a very beneficial tool that will allow for better insight into the history of humanity. People must know their past in order to move into the future and the proper presentation will enable people to use history as a valuable and irreplaceable resource.
