Goals and Vision of MSN

In nursing practices, more advanced technological methods and apparatus are applied. In many medical settings, nurses create, acquire, and upgrade electronic health records. Other technological innovations, including tele- health services or mobile patient monitoring, might be used at place of business. My aim is to learn about these medical technologies so I can utilize each of its features to the fullest extent possible. I can also decide to make it a professional objective to learn how to troubleshoot, or solve problems with, healthcare technology in my place of employment.

To obtain a certification that demonstrates my proficiency in a certain skill, such as basic care or clinical research abilities. In addition, I might consider registering for a certification course for a nursing specialty or particular departments, such as neonatal, pediatrics, or oncology. Improve my communication abilities, so I may interact with patients, doctors, other nurses, and those with whom I regularly collaborate. The majority of nurses use a variety of communication techniques, including written and spoken channels. My goal is to practice speaking and writing as plainly as I can, as well as attentively listening and carefully reading medical documentation.

I plan to locate a mentor who can guide me in defining and achieving my career objectives. I may enroll in internal nurse mentorship programs at some hospitals. However, I could approach a nurse I respect and ask them to serve as my mentor without the aid of a structured program (Brown, 2018). This mentorship will be helpful in identifying objectives that are more attainable and realistic if I work as a mentor with a physician who has more experience in the industry than I have.

My goal is to encourage student achievement and use industry standards in nursing education. To acquire the skills I need to deliver safe, effective physician treatment that demonstrates clinical moral decision-making and inter-professional cooperation. Participate in the provision of care in a range of settings to lower health inequities. Utilize cutting-edge technological advancements to increase accessibility to our programs. Offer ground-breaking academic programs that take into account how the healthcare landscape is changing. Develop in my students an intellectual thirst for in-depth research and study.

I aim to participate in activities involving leadership, research, and practice to advance the nursing profession. Combines research from the social, biological, and nursing disciplines to promote nursing practice across the healthcare spectrum. Perform data and evidence analysis, communicate research findings, and conduct research to incorporate into advanced nursing practice. Systems for processing claims should be improved so that payers and health benefits managers can meet demand and deliver a service. Increasing medicine businesses’ self-storage and distribution will ease the burden on healthcare professionals and address the increasing nursing shortage by figuring out how to serve their requirements better.

Change in Management Strategies

A fundamental problem specific to the health care sector is that two out of every three change programs fail for a multitude of reasons, such as inadequate planning, unmotivated employees, poor communication, or excessively frequent changes. Effective transformation requires the participation of all healthcare professionals, from the boardroom to the request of the patient. Using best practices derived from change theories can raise the probability of achievement and future practice improvement.

The writings of numerous influential change and thinkers may offer the secret to identifying the answer. Although theories may seem impractical and esoteric for clinical examination, they can be quite helpful for resolving everyday medical problems. A three-step process was proposed by Lewin, a leading expert in the field of planned change, to ensure a smooth transition. Other philosophers, such as Lippitt, Kotter, and Rogers, had already made contributions to the corpus of understanding on collective change to expand on Lewin’s initial Planned Change Theory (Stinger, 2018).

Pre-change, change, and comment are the three key phases that any change project goes through, regardless of how big is the matter or little. When championing change management or transformation, healthcare practitioners should make decisions that are in line with change theories. One of the most crucial aspects of pre-change planning is involving participants in problem identification, goal formulation, and action planning (Stinger, 2018). Participation of stakeholders in the planning process for the change resulted in greater staff buy-in.

Leadership Qualities

Nursing leaders should show empathy and compassion since they are still nurses and have the characteristics essential to nurse/patient interaction. Leading with compassion and empathy can encourage nursing staff to act with the same traits in their practice. Nurse leaders should be open-minded and must be adaptable enough to manage a changing industry due to the mix of medical advancements, technological innovation, and governmental changes in the healthcare sector. This can help hospitals continuously achieve their care delivery objectives as the world around them changes. I possess Ethics and Integrity also intelligent and smart when delegating work, and am a team builder (Altmiller, 2022). To manage this role efficiently, I need qualities in technical knowledge, cultural competence, emotional monitoring, and mentoring. By doing this, I will be a capable nursing leader who can influence the future of healthcare.

How to Develop Leadership Skills

I will pay more attention to my surroundings. This is due to the fact that managing difficult projects with tight deadlines requires possessing this skill. A leader can gain a lot by being able to foresee problems and provide solutions. I will acquire respect for sure because of this ability, which will assist in become more aware of my surroundings and recognize opportunities that others might miss. Being a leader necessitates being a team player, and I should be able to encourage and inspire the others I work with to collaborate as efficiently as feasible (Evans, 2022). Whenever a team member needs it, encourage or mentor them. Sometimes all a person wants is for them to talk to someone who will listen to them.

Turn into a follower – a good leader has no issue handing over leadership to someone else when it is necessary. Consequently, I should not feel frightened whenever somebody disagrees with me, challenges my ideas, or offers their own. Instead, I should think critically and award merit whenever necessary. Although it will not always be simple, if I can learn to appreciate and cherish the people on my team, they will be much more willing to step up for me.

I do not have to be the focus of interest at all times if I wish to be a leader, so I need to be a good listener. One of the important characteristics of a successful leader is someone who actively develops on the thoughts, opinions, and feedback of others. A good listener is aware that non-verbal cues like body movements and eye expression are equally as significant in communication as verbal cues.
