Introduction and Statement of Problems

Tempe AZ is one of the towns that have the highest number of beggars in the world. About fifty thousand beggars stand on the streets begging for money from students in Tempe campus and other citizens that visit the town. Some of these individuals are homeless while others are just crooks who decide to take advantage of the homeless beggars. These individuals range from young teenagers to the old. Some of them have physical problems while some are just pretenders who come to the town and pretend that they have problems. Those who have some physical problems are used by some other people to help them earn money. Those who bring them to the town get some cash and those who come for them also get some cash. A major problem exists where one cannot differentiate between the genuine beggar and the pretenders. Issues of theft have become an order of the day where students and the general population are suffering as a result of the beggars in the town.

Solution

The government needs to find a way of establishing the genuine beggars and purchase a piece of land where these beggars can get settled and start to earn their living. The government will then give all the beggars in the town a deadline when all of them should be out of the town. This will help get the crooks and the pretenders out of the town and a peaceful environment will be established in the town. A law can then be enacted that will allow the court to arrest and fine any individual found on the streets. Those beggars who have extreme physical problems can be settled in one place where the government will come up with a program to provide them with the basic needs.

Effects on Students and the People of Tempe

The withdrawal of the beggars from the streets will help the students in Tempe and the general populations very much. To begin with, the exploitation by crooks where the individuals and the students have sacrificed their money for will come to an end. The students especially have been sacrificing the little that they get for their personal use. The fear of visiting the town especially during the night by the students and the citizens getting late in town will also come to an end. The cases of robbery with violence that have been the major cause of the fear will be reduced in the town and in case an individual dares do it, the possibility of identification and arrest is quite high.

Conclusion

Beggars in Tempe have been a major cause of chaos in the town. Some of these beggars are just pretenders who come to the town and some have turned into crooks performing robbery actions and instilling much fear in hearts of the students and the citizens. The government should establish a way that will help it establish the genuine beggars who are homeless and spare a piece of land where they can get settled. This will help reduce the robbery issues in the town and also reduce the fear in the students and the citizens.
