During the exercise we have to persuade a potential employee to accept conditions which are suitable for us. We are not limited in measures and remedies which we can use to do it. We can pay the employee a sum from 42,000 to 70,000 $. Of course, the lower salary will be the better it is for us. It is obvious that in negotiations we used all advantages which our position gives us. The employee does not know about the existing limit and is not sure whether her services are really needed.

That is why, we chose the tactics which main sense is intentional underdeclaration of the possible salary. The main aim of this tactics is to confuse the employee as it is not the sum she can be satisfied with. However, in the process of negotiations this sum can be increased, though, it will still remain lower than excepted one because of the low starting point.

Additionally, a potential worker will be able to obtain satisfaction because he/she can become sure that increase of the sum is the result of her good communication skills and great professionalism. We also try to manage the mood of negotiations showing that we are interested in the worker because of her professionalism, though, really high salary is not affordable for us. However, during the talk some concessions are made for a person to feel that she is able to influence officials of the company and feel herself more significant.

This attempt to manage the mood is rather successful as it is possible to observe satisfaction from the negotiations though a person obtained lower salary than she excepted. The whole talk is rather positive and it is possible to admit that some kind of trust appears between the employer and employee. These positive relations are obviously the result of the chosen tactics as a person is sure that she influences negotiations very much and that the employer is interested in her services.

Additionally, concessions made also promote improvement of the atmosphere. In general, it is possible to say that this exercise is very important for better understanding of the main mechanisms of negotiations between the officials of the company and its working stuff.
